WHO | Aquascutum Tan Trench Coat Aqua 5

WHAT | There are no size indications on the labels but judging by the measurements and oversized design, this would be best suited to a size medium or large. It measures 122cm in length and is crafted from 55% cotton and 45% fortrel polyester. This classic raincoat is by the high end British label Aquascutum and is fully lined. It has buttons up the front, a belt, back vent at the shoulder and features two deep pockets. The tag says ‘By Appointment to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother’. Measuring across the front of the garment only, the bust is roughly 49/50cm when taken from seam to seam.

WEAR | The shell and lining of the coat remains in excellent condition with all internal and external buttons accounted for. The only obvious sign of wear is a small feint pen mark on the base of the sleeve measuring roughly 1cm in length and similarly on the right pocket. The trench coat is adorned with three leather buckles on the sleeves and belt which show considerable wear. Please refer to product photography for reference, plastic has been placed under buckles to protect garment from leather conditioner in images.

WHEN |  A weatherproof trench coat is a style staple and a chic addition to any wardrobe and ideal for those who prefer an oversized look.

WHY | Established in 1851 in London by John Emary, Aquascutum has been the go to staple for soldiers, suffragettes, political leaders like Winston Churchill and royalty alike. In 1897, Aquascutum was granted a royal warrant marking the start of the British royal family's long patronage on the company.
